A push start key is an electronic proximity key used by vehicles with push-button ignition.
Instead of inserting a traditional key into the ignition, the vehicle detects an authorized key inside or near the vehicle.
The key and vehicle communicate electronically, which is why a replacement fob normally has to be compatible with the vehicle and programmed before it will function correctly. That programming work is part of our car key programming service for supported vehicles.
